About the Museum for African Art Online Store
Featuring many one-of-a-kind crafts, household and decorative objects, items found in our store are produced exclusively for the Museum by artisans and craftspeople and imported directly from Africa. Your purchase at our store supports local African artisans and museum programs.

Quality
With the exception of our publications, all merchandise sold online is handmade by local artisans giving each item unique characteristics. When ordering from our pottery and jewelry selection please note that the item shipped may vary slightly from the photograph.
Processing Time
Orders placed on our website are shipped on weekdays within 24 hours via Federal Express Ground or Federal Express Home Delivery. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday and US Holidays will be shipped on the following business day.
Shipping
All orders in the United States Canada are shipped via Federal Express Ground or Federal Express Home Delivery. Please contact store@africanart.org or call (718)784-7700 x121 to arrange for international shipping via United States Postal Service.
Sales Tax
Sales tax of 8.875% will be charged to any purchaser whose billing address is in the state of New York.
Payment
We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. The online store uses secure server software to safeguard your credit card number, name, and address.
Returns and Exchanges
Publications are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
If you are not completely satisfied your purchase, you may return the item in its original condition within 30 days for a full refund or exchange, less shipping costs. Please email store@africanart.org or call (718)784-7700 to arrange a return or exchange.
