New Yorkers interact with people from Africa on a daily basis, yet most know very little about the African countries from which they come.  The Museum for African art presents its lecture series Conversations with a Continent  gathering speakers from various walks of life to introduce their countries from multiple perspectives.

Each "conversation"  fosters dialogue between audience members and participating scholars, artists and community leaders to raise awareness about the richness and diversity of Africa and the ways in which Africans in New York interpret the challenges facing their native countries.

This lecture will take place at the 92nd Street Y at 1395 Lexington Avenue, Warburg Hall.  Tickets for this event are $25 and $20 for Museum for African Art members.
