Cultural and Social Uprising: Tunisia and Beyond: Emna Zghal in dialogue with Lisa Binder

February 23, 2012
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Lisa Binder, curator of contemporary art at the Museum for African Art, in conversation with Tunisian-born, U.S.-based painter Emna Zghal.  The discussion will center around Emna’s work as well as offer an artist’s response to the recent political changes in Tunisia. Emna’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions including Interflow, organized by the Museum for African Art in 2009.  Her work is in important collections including those of the Museum for African Art, the Yale University Art Gallery, and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
