Small Ram Vase

Small Ram Vase

This contemporary creation by Baule potter Kaka Adjoua brings life to a vision she had in a dream.

The women potters of Tanoh Sakassou village make both traditional and contemporary styled pottery, often inspired by dreams.

This modern form conforms to the traditional Baule ideals of beauty which involve smooth, rounded forms and shining surfaces.  In an American home it can be exhibited as a modern sculpture or used as a vase for fresh or dried flowers.

Grouped together, they make a highly original composition!
