July 8, 2009

The groundbreaking symposium Immigrants: Africans in New York is now available, in part, to Museum for African Art website users. Included in this online presentation are abstracts from the twenty presenting scholars whose research deals with many topics relating to Africans who have made their homes in New York City.

The symposium, and this online publication were funded by the New York Council for the Humanities, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.  Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this website do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
