NEA grants Museum $100,000 for El Anatsui: When I Last Wrote to You About Africa
December 9, 2008 On November 28, 2008, the Museum for African Art was awarded a grant of $100,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts to partially support its upcoming retrospective exhibition of the work of Ghanaian-born sculptor El Anatsui, with an accompanying catalogue. El Anatsui: When I Last Wrote to You About Africa will be one of the inaugural exhibitions opening in the museum’s new building in early 2011.
